Families With Children From China-Indiana (FCC-IN) is a chapter of a national network of families who have the privilege of adopting their children from China. We are a voluntary, non-profit organization, independent of any adoption agency, but solely dependent on you - the fortunate parents of our remarkable children - to maintain all of the activities and events detailed on this website. Please volunteer your time and energy. Without volunteer support, we will cease to exist.
The FCC-IN Annual meeting takes place on Saturday, January 21, 2012. Visit our Event page to RSVP.
The Indianapolis Star recently featured a story on how adoptive families use food as a tool to create cultural connections. FCC-IN president, Mandy Spitznagle and her family were one of the featured families.
The article also highlighted FCC-IN's partnership with Pei-Ming Sun, of Sunny's Kitchen. It has been a pleasure working with Sunny over the past year as she teaches families to prepare these delicious meals for themselves.
The great photos of the Spitznagle family were taken by Star photographer and FCC-IN parent, Kelly Wilkinson.

FCC-IN recently hosted a webinar with Dr. Tony Tan, who provided insight into his studies on children adopted from China and his research findings on the development of adopted Chinese children from the perspectives of the adoptive parents and the adopted children’s teachers. The PowerPoint presentation is now available for download and review on our blog space.
If you are interested in joining FCC-IN, please visit our Membership page. For your convenience, you can register and pay on-line and receive annual reminders regarding your membership status. Paid members will receive a monthly newsletter describing events and activities of interest to the FCC-IN community as well as discounts to FCC-IN and Chinese Community events. Members will have access to the private, Member-Only portion of the FCC-IN website, which includes a special news section, a community forum and an evolving reference database of resources on adoption, Chinese culture and education, and the local Chinese community.
Mei (May) means beautiful in Mandarin Chinese. This quarterly, glossy publication is a wholesome and age-appropriate magazine with a special emphasis on issues specific to Chinese adoptees ages 7 to 14. Now you know there is a magazine for girls/children adopted from China. The concept of having a magazine for adopted kids is critical. Mei Magazine is also geared for kids adopted from Asian countries.
